Lightweight but with plenty of utility
I originally went looking for a neoprene case for my laptop to make it easier to lug back and forth from work. However, I'm glad that I stumbled across a recommendation about this bag somewhere on a web user forum, because this bag is excellent. It provided me all the weight savings I was looking for, without forcing me to make compromises about storage pockets or a shoulder strap, and it did it all without costing an arm and a leg. The bag is very lightweight; it weighs next to nothing on its own (though obviously a bit more than a plain neoprene case with only a handle and no pockets). It fits my MacBook Pro perfectly, and the included power supply carrying case is a nice touch. Inside the bag, there are plenty of pockets for pens, business cards, USB flash drives, etc. I can fairly easily carry a couple of spiral-bound notebooks with my laptop and power cord, but the bag really isn't meant to carry tons of stuff. Just right....trendy and well made.
Exactly what it should be, a stylish, padded shoulder-tote for a laptop. Comes with several small but useful inner pockets and a neat little bag to put the AC adaptor in.But the the bag is not really designed for too much more than laptop and adaptor. You can fit in a mouse and some papers, but a real backpack or large laptop bag would be better if you need to carry a lot of stuff. Because it's only got one strap, a heavy load could cause some backstrain if you are prone to that. Consider it a more a portable bag for "quick-toting".

A Favorite Bag
I bought this from a local outdoor store in a different print before I went on a nearly 3 week trip to England and Scotland. I wanted something that would stay around my shoulder that was more comfortable than toting a purse or big backpack and left my hands free. This was perfect, and I still carry it quite often. To me it has more room than it appears to on the computer screen. There is one large section that makes up the bulk of the bag and another that is smaller but still very useful. There are two pockets in the front, one that closes by Velcro for a cell phone, and the other that zips. I used the zip pocket to store by lip balm because it was so handy to get as I walked. The strap is also very comfortable and adjusts to fit. I'll use this bag for a long time.

Perfect Backpack and Purse mix
This bag is wonderful, better then a backpack, and better then a purse. Like two combined! I love how much space is in their, 2 kind of big pockets, two little pockets, and a small zipped up compartment in the back of the bigger pocket. Love these bags!
I love KAVU and especially this bag. The fabric is very durable. I really like the rope part of the bag. It's orginal. I also like the 2 outer smaller pockets. I use one for my cell phone, which makes it very easy to get to. I also like the 2 larger sides of the bag. I carry everythign I need in this bag. I really like the fact that I can carry it as a sling over my arm/shoulder, or I can carry it on my back and shop hands free. Oh, and I love this color. Great bag!

Great bag for school
My son wanted a 'grown up' book bag for sixth grade and decided he wanted a messenger bag. I wasn't to sure about that choice for him because he's not the most organized child. But, I bought it anyway and have been throughly impressed! It is very roomy and because it has more width room than length my son is able to see his bag getting junky and clean it out himself! The bag also seems to be helping him stay more organized and he keeps his books a notebooks together better and can find things more easily. My son has loved his messenger bag since day one and carries it to school proudly~he thinks it makes him cool! I'm just glad it has held up to the test and looks like it will be around for along time to come! Great bag!!!

Good Product
I carry a 2 inch and 3 inch binder, a laptop, a textbook, various school supplies, and a couple of gatorade bottles with me to my classes every day with this bag. I've never had a problem with it, and it seems to hold up to abuse quite well. The colors work nicely as well.

Very nice LOOKING, but disappointing.
This product could easily obtain a 5 star rating, if they would have included the inside zipper pocket (even a small one). This bag is very handy for the teens and very stylish. No where to store keys, bus ticket or pass securely, but does have a place for cell phone and three other open pockets. I wish they would redo, I would be willing to pay more (paid about $15 bucks).

worth every penny
I shopped around for a really nice notebook bag that would accommodate a 17-inch laptop and was inexpensive. Where I live, I don't have a lot of options for shopping around, so I looked for one online. Out of all the places I looked, every one gave this Belkin Laptop bag excellent reviews, so I ordered it and I was not disappointed.The area of the bag that houses the laptop is well padded. There is plenty of room in the front pockets to carry a book or two as well as other things you might need at work or school. It comes with a separate pouch for the power cords so they are not lose in the bag.The only thing that I found wrong with the bag is, I bought the chocolate/tourmaline colored bag. I thought the chocolate color would be a darker brown. It's more of a medium to dark brown. My husband actually like the color, so gave him the bag and ordered the jet/cabernet for myself.We are very impressed by this Belkin bag and would recommend this product...

Beautiful bag with some issues
I recently bought my first MacBook Pro and went hunting for a good bag that could hold a 17 inch laptop. I was wary of the low price, but now that I have the bag, I am simply thrilled with it.The design is perfect; simple, elegant and oddly futuristic with its muted colors, soft rounded shapes and contrasting textures. It also comes with a small removable bag for power cords and such, which is a nice touch. The brown is slightly lighter chocolate then pictured, which is an excellent compliment to the pale aqua accents.The strap is a good four inches wide, thicker then I have seen on most bags and evenly distributes the weight of its contents without digging into my shoulder. I really like this bag, except for one thing
This is a great bag - it is thin and not bulky, there are plenty of pockets, my 17" laptop fits perfectly, and it has room for a few files and the necessary cords and peripherals.My one frustration with the bag is that the adjustable strap only adjusts a little. I like to have the strap be pretty short so I can carry the bag near my low back while I ride my bike, and I cannot decrease the strap length enough to do that. This also means that when shorter people carry the bag over their shoulder, it hangs really low. This defect makes the bag uncomfortable to carry.

"sling-go" a go-go!
I am convinced the reason it is so difficult to find this product in pet stores (one even told me they didn't think these were made anymore), is because it would make so many other much more expensive (and more cumbersome) ways of porting a small dog around obsolete! I'm not talking about when you need to have the puppers enclosed (like on a bus or plane),but if you're looking to go marsupial with your best-beloved bud, for a quick run to the mailbox in the rain, or anytime you want to keep 'em close and comfy -- and not burden your back over-much -- this is the one! I have hunt around and spent bucks, but neither I nor mine is happier with any other one than this. (Don't you think Outward-Hound should send me a free one now...? No? Oh well, that's okay :)By the way, my dog is a Pekingese who now weighs about 12 lbs and she fits just about right -- but you wouldn't want to go much heavier.

A woman that is passionate about animals writes this review. We have three 4-year-old Turkish Angora cats that share our home. The cats believe themselves to be human and like to go where their human parents go. Being an overly obsessive cat parent I did not want their little feet on the pavement and purchased this sling.The cats love this thing! They jump inside the pouch and like to poke their heads out and watch where we are going. The pouch is deep enough that they can pull themselves completely into the pouch and take a nap when tired and still feel safe in their little "nest". The top of the pouch has elastic around it that allows it to close up a little around the animal. Because cats like small places this is perfect for a feline. Couldn't be happier
We have a 17 year Dachshund. She's the hardest dog to fit. She's a tweeny, weighing in at 16 pounds, though quite long (just under a foot and a half). She's about 10" tall. We were afraid she might not fight in this sling, but she loves it. She can let her front paw hang down, which she loves to do, and once you've adjusted it for your body, it comfortable to wear for about 45m before having to switch sides. We have a 5 year old golden mix and hate having to leave our old lady at home just because she can't keep up. Now we can let her walk until she's tired and just plop her in here (we always lay a blanket down and an ice pack under if the heat is high). We can even take her on the bike for short, quick-movement-free bike rides. The pack can hang in the front or back or on the hip. There's even a little pocket, though we think it's for a cell phone, we use it for poo bags. I'd recommend this to anyone with a slightly larger small dog.
